Stunning 1970s John Bates/ Jean Varon Dress with a classic Jean Varon look, complete with massive balloon sleeves, cinched in waist with peplum detailing and beautiful construction throughout. This dress has a beautiful bodice in a stunning and vibrant red shade, matching the trim at the hemline and the red details of the berries, creating an eclectic yet cohesive aesthetic. This is a beautiful country-style dress with an adorable berry print, perfect for those who prefer a cottage-core aesthetic, part of the return to the countryside that was popular in 70s Britain. This piece zips at the back and also features closures at the neckline and waist for extra security. 

This piece is in fantastic vintage condition, with no signs of damage, major wear or staining and still retaining its vibrant original colouring. It may have some signs of wear and tear, as expected due to its age, but nothing that effects the wear of the item. 

The label in this states it is a UK 14, but unfortunately the waist measurement doesn't reflect this - Jean Varon dresses tend to be small in the waist and this piece is no exception, but I think it would fit everywhere else for a 14 if you were happy to get it tailored. Due to the waist I think it would best fit a size UK 10, perhaps a 12 depending on measurements.
